Atlanta, GA - Global capacitor shipments continued their quarter on quarter growth in Q3 compared to Q2 2016 and the same quarter in 2015. The yearly run rate through the first three quarters of the year has shipments up 9.7%, at three trillion units; in dollars, $16 billion, up 4.1%. "Industry executives attending Electronica 2016 were very much upbeat and see evidence of improved business conditions as we move into 2017," noted Jim Bruorton, ECIA vice president, industry statistics and business analytics. "Much of their optimism centers around connectivity trends in the industrial markets. This is encouraging news after the last several years of sluggish to negative growth," he concluded.
