Atlanta, GA - ECIA has just released the results of its Q3 CY 2016 components trends survey which can now be viewed in the Knowledge Center on the ECIA website. Of those responding to the survey, approximately 40% see Q3’16 flat to Q2’16 while 38% see growth in the 1% to 3% range. Of those surveyed growth quarter on quarter will come from automotive, medical and avionics/military/aerospace. Those surveyed see the market basically flat for the industrial and consumer markets and negative growth for the computer and telecom market.
The outlook for Q4’16 compared to Q3’16 looks similar to the Q3’16 comparisons to Q2’16. Of those surveyed, 45% see Q4 to be flat to Q3 while 37% see growth in the 1% to 3% range. The industrial market is the only segment expected to show slight improvement quarter on quarter.
