Atlanta, GA – The ECIA Services Partner (ESP) program is designed to facilitate relationships between members and business services providers with deep expertise and experience with the challenges and opportunities specific to the electronic components industry. Each ESP service offering is unique; the partnership is by invitation only, and negotiated to achieve a win-win for both individual member companies as well as the association as a whole. Since the program is focused on the common business requirements in our industry it brings exceptional value to ECIA members. The ESP program includes business services providers in the following areas:

  • Business insurance and risk management
  • Human resources
  • Marketing
  • Research
  • Strategic planning

Members have expressed frustration at having to explain the industry's complex supply chain relationships and sensitive competitive issues to service providers with little or no experience with the business of electronic components. Now they have a group of trusted, experienced advisors who know the history and have made their own contributions to the industry over many years of service.

"We are privileged to offer this service to our members who are frequently challenged to keep up with the changing risks and opportunities inherent in the global electronic components industry," explained Victor Meijers, ECIA senior vice president, who operates as the ESP liaison. "Typically our members' core competencies are focused on the electronics industry itself, rather than in the area of strategic planning, HR, marketing and so forth. The companies that are on the ESP roster have deep expertise in the issues and benchmarks that drive the industry and can offer an objective, knowledgeable point of view to help in these critical areas. Many of them have made their own valuable contributions to the industry, as well."
